PA Statewide Advisory Board for EL Students

Welcome to the Pennsylvania Statewide Advisory Board for English Learner Students webpage. This page enables access advisory board meeting materials and related board resources.

Formed in the fall of 2017 by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE), this statewide advisory board provides support and guidance to PDE on issues related to the education of culturally and linguistically diverse students.

The board is comprised of parents of ESL students, community members, educators, and school administrators, and has support from PDE staff, an EL consultant from the Pennsylvania Training and Technical Assistance Network (PaTTAN) – Harrisburg and staff from the Center for Schools and Communities.

The work of the advisory board focuses on improving home-school relations, and building meaningful and productive parent, school, and community interaction.

English Learner Family–School Engagement Tools and Resources
