If you answered yes to any of the above questions, the TPS Power of Perspectives project is a professional development opportunity that is perfect for you!
- The TPS Power of Perspectives project is a FREE 18 month-long sustained professional development program that brings together teams of teachers and includes the following learning and teaching opportunities:
- Face-to-face workshops with experts from the Library of Congress, the Pennsylvania Department of Education, the Center for Schools and Communities, Penn State University, Maryland Humanities Council, and the National Writing Project.
- Series of instructional webinars to engage in ongoing learning without having to travel
- Telephone and classroom-based coaching sessions with an EL education expert who is a certified Teaching with Primary Sources instructional coach and Master Instructional Designer
Need More Incentives to Participate?
- This innovative program is FREE to Pennsylvania educators.
- A $250 participant stipend will be offered to each teacher to help cover travel expenses, substitute teachers while you attend in-person workshops, and the purchase of any classroom materials related to the project.
- Each team will receive a package of critically acclaimed, newly released publications to use as classroom resources and each teacher will receive their own personal copy of Highly Effective Writing.
- Earn up to 45 Act 48 credits.
